About

Polly has been in the field of early childhood for more than 40 years as a Regional Child Development Program Director; Community College Instructor, and an advocate for infants and young children, their families, and the professionals who support them.  Early in Polly's career, she had the opportunity to meet and study with Magda Gerber, renowned infant therapist, for more than 20 years.   Polly is dedicated to sharing Magda’s Educaring® Approach with parents and professionals who care for infants and young children.  Polly has an extensive background as an advocate for young children, and has shared her work both nationally and internationally. She has written articles for both parent and professional publications and is a contributing writer in Authentic Relationships in Group Care for Infants and Toddlers-Resources for Infant Educarers® (RIE®) Principles into Practice.

Polly has four sons and is the proud grandmother of 6 grandchildren.  She and her husband, Joseph live in Puyallup, Washington.
